GP-B Science & Technology Reports and Procedural Documents

This archive contains many scientific and technical reports, as well as procedural documents, covering all aspects of the science and technologies developed for GP-B over the 50-year lifetime of the program.

These documents are divided into three separate archives. Click a link below to view the corresponding contents page for that archive.

GP-B 2011 CQG Documents

This archive contains a set of refereed papers on the science and technologies of GP-B to be published in a special volume of Classical and Quantum Gravity (CQG). The papers in this volume document for the benefit of astrophysicists, physicists, and space engineers a unique combination of new technologies and data analysis techniques with applications to a wide range of future astrophysics and fundamental physics missions in space, along with the approaches and flight experience needed to make them a reality. The documents in this section are grouped into the following categories: Science, Data Analysis & the 2-Second Filter, Spacecraft Attitude Control, The Dewar, Gyroscopes, Gyroscope Readout and Magnetics.

GP-B Scientific & Technical Reports

This archive contains links to scientific and technical reports about GP-B technologies. The documents in this section are grouped into the following six categories: gyroscopes, telescope, flight hardware, system verifications, system tests & inspections and mission operations reports.

Procedural Documents and Reports

This archive contains links to documents and reports summarizing various procedures that were used in the development, manufacture, installation, replacement, testing and verification of GP-B technologies. The documents in this section are grouped into the following eight categories: caging, clean room, gyroscopes, miscellaneous, plans, SQUIDs, system and telescope.
