WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 15 January 1999:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
Under the direction of Dr. Doron Bardas the pre-integration preparations
of
Probe C at Stanford have been completed. These preparatons included
electrical measurements of isolation and continuity of probe wiring,
verification of the cleanliness of the gyroscope plumbing, and installation
of the first 3 probe windows. The probe is now ready for integration of
the science instrument which includes (in chronological order) the
installation of the telescope/QB, the installation of the gyroscopes,
the
installation of the gyroscope caging system, and finally the
installation

SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
All eight aft helium thrusters have finished characterization testing,
including repeat testing to insure consistent data, and are ready for
installation on the space vehicle.
