WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 19 June 1998:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
Dr. Michael Heifetz has completed the Telescope Error
Analysis for the
Science Mission. Inputs to the analysis
include the measured stellar
irradiance, the telescope
response, and the pointing accuracy. This
analysis will
be used together with the test data of the Science Mission
telescope to verify that telescope performance will meet
mission requirements.
SPACE
VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
The qualification unit Thruster Isolation Valve (TIV) has
successfully begun
qualification testing. The TIV has
completed ambient functional, burst,
leakage, random vibration
and thermal vacuum testing. The TIV is scheduled
to begin qualification life testing before the end of June.
