WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 22 OCTOBER 1999:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
Phase A of payload test continued this past week with additional
measurements of the thermal characteristics of the flight probe and flight
dewar. The thermal measurements should provide an estimate of the on-orbit
lifetime of the experiment. Present indications are that the lifetime does
not meet the requirement and therefore a probe repair may be required. The
team members involved in this work include Jim Maddocks, D. Murray, M.
Taber, and T. Welsh.
The GP-S software team has completed a successful software review. The
meeting was attended by both internal GP-B team members and outside
experts. The GP-B team included Jie Li, Aweli Ndili, and Robert Schultz.
