WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 17 April 1998:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
The Gyro Suspension System
(GSS) group under the leadership of Dr. Bill
Bencze and
Dr. David Manner has successfully suspended a gyroscope
with it's
prototype flight electronics and the RAD6000
computer, the engineering unit
version of the flight
processor. The GSS is operating in it's nominal ground
test mode, spin-up bridge settings, and using the current
version of the
flight OS for the RAD6000. This
capability will allow the thorough testing
of the GSS on
the ground.
This very important achievement is the
result of a group-wide effort, and is
due in particular
to: Mike Eglington, Steve Larsen, Jen-nan Lay, Mike
Irwin,
Jay Dusenbury, Paul Lassa, Scott Smader, Scot
Sulak, Son Tran, Lawerence
Goslinowski, Lo Van Ho,
and Christy Hartsell.
SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
