Special & General Relativity Questions and Answers

What happens in the space between gravitating bodies?

The gravitational field exists there, and determines how strongly particles will be affected by the force firlds of the two bodies. Exactly what the gravitational field is, we don't know, but suspect it a swarming hive of virtual 'gravitons' just like the other forces have their own quanta.
