Thermal testing of the Composite Necktube Section (the high-fidelity mockup
of a Probe C heat station ring assembly) has begun in the vacuum chamber in
LMMS building 202. The testing team will cool the unit to liquid nitrogen
temperatures and attempt to create thermal gradients from the inner to the
outer heat transfer rings along with measuring temperature profiles across
the window and ring assembly.
