SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
The
Belleville Preload System (BPS) Critical Design Review (CDR)
was
successfully held on November 25. Design, test and analyses
results
were presented indicating that LMMS is ready to build the
BPS flight
units. The decision was made by Stanford University to
discontinue work
on the parallel path of disassembling the Dewar
to replace the axial
lock mechanisms.
