WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 31 AUGUST 2001:
COMPLETED CM-24
The GP-B program completed a major milestone during the past week with the delivery of the payload to Lockheed Martin for Space Vehicle integration.
The operations involved in this work included the moving of the payload from the Stanford Laboratory onto the transporter, driving the transporter
from Stanford to Lockheed Martin, and then moving the payload into the Lockheed Martin Facility. A transportation anomaly is under investigation.
Our current understanding is that this anomaly will cause no impact on service. Mike Taber and his team, and Jeff Vanden Beukel and his team are
to be commended for this work.
