STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
Paul
Ehrensberger and Bob Farley report that the fabrication of
all flight boards for the Telescope Readout Electronics
system has been completed. The digital boards have past
receiving inspection and the analog boards are now in the
process of being inspected.
SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
An important milestone in fabrication of the Relativity
Mission science telescope sunshade was completed on
Wednesday, 15 July, when the assembly of the sunshade
baffles, and forward and aft housings was completed at
Schweizer Aircraft under the supervision of AlliedSignal.
The operation went very smoothly and measurements indicate
that the alignment of the hardware is within specification.
The sunshade housing will be precision cleaned then
integrated with the motor and shutter before the start
of environmental system test. The sunshade assembly,
which included the control electronics, will be delivered
to LMMS in late Ocotber 1998.
