WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 29 May 1998:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
The Telescope/Quartz Block Bonding Integration and Test
Readiness review was successfully held on May 19.
Also, the action items from the Gyro 1 Acceptance
Review have been completed and the Certificate of
Compliance was signed off.
SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
The final Probe C Acceptance Data Review (ADR) was successfully held on May
19, 1998. This official transfer of the flight Probe from LMMS to Stanford
University culminates more than 10 years of research and development,
design, fabrication and testing at Lockheed Martin. This ADR enables
integration of the entire science payload to begin at Stanford. After
Probe
C is mated with the science and experiment and the Science
Mission Dewar,
the assembled payload will be fitted into the
spacecraft and taken through
environmental test at Lockheed Martin.
