WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 20 March 1998:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
The flight quartz block, QB#3, has successfully passed the
last remaining
dimensional measurement, and is now in the
process of shipping from
Speedring to Stanford. Room
temperature testing of the flight telescope,
Telescope #3,
has been completed, and low temperature testing is now in
progress.
SPACE VEHICLE
HIGHLIGHT
The engineering unit Thruster Isolation Valve (TIV) has successfully
completed qualification-level pyroshock testing. The testing was
performed
in building 251. The final engineering testing scheduled
for the TIV is hot
and cold functional testing. Following
successful completion of engineering
testing the TIV qualification
uit testing will begin.
