WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 28 FEBRUARY 2003:
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED PDU ACCEPTANCE TESTING
The Spectrum Astro team has successfully completed acceptance testing of the PDU and is now in the process of reducing the data.
The team is working hard to beat the planned date for the acceptance review and the subsequent shipment of the PDU to Lockheed Martin.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED FLUX REDUCTION (DEGAUSS) MINI SIM DRY RUN
The team has successfully completed the first of three dry runs of the flux reduction mini simulation. A number of minor issues coming out of this dry
run are currently in-work.
ETHERNET UPGRADE
The GP-B and HEPL backbone was upgraded to gigabit ethernet. This will serve to increase performance and throughput for future projects.
GP-B is only the third group at Stanford to receive gigabit ethernet. The network has special hardware to monitor the performance, and will help
other groups in the future migrate to gigabit.
