WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 13 February 1998:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
Dr. Jason Gwo and Ken Bower have successfully completed
the fabrication of
Telescope #3, the primary Science
Mission telescope. Engineering unit
detectors were
installed and the telescope is presently undergoing
acceptance testing.
SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
The Thruster Isolation Valve (TIV) engineering unit successfully
completed life testing. The unit performed nominally after 1000
open/closed cycles. The unit has completed random vibration,
burst and
leak testing. Pyro shock testing is scheduled to be
completed by the
end of February.
