WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 26 OCTOBER 2001:

NASA CRITICAL MILESTONE CM-25 MET
On Saturday, October 20, 2001, the Integrated Payload was mated to the Spacecraft, creating the Gravity Probe B Space Vehicle. This operation met NASA Critical Milestone CM-25 for the GP-B Program.

FLIGHT ECU IN THE INTEGRATED TEST FACILITY
An analysis of heater circuit oscillations (2 of 6) will be performed by LMCO. A Long Term Data Acquisition Test on the flight ECU, to characterize data dropouts, has been completed. A meeting has been scheduled for Oct-26 to determine action plans.

SRE BOXES IN THERMAL VAC IN SUNNYVALE
Two discrepancies are being investigated. SRE Aft B box is experiencing intermittent scrambled telemetry during high & low temperature cycles. SRE Fwd A box experienced a hard failure in a digital to analog converter in the Bracket Temperature Controller. Thermal vac testing has been completed and engineering tests will continue through Oct-28.

FUNCTIONAL TEST ON AFT GSS BOXESE
A functional test on Aft GSS boxes #3 & #4 was performed on Oct-19. One TAR was opened on each box. Aft GSS #3 TAR was closed to a Stanford DR and was returned to Stanford on Oct-25 for investigation. Aft GSS #4 is under investigation on the Space Vehicle.
