WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 8 AUGUST 2003:
VAFB OPERATIONS
Formal Software Qualification Testing was successfully completed this week. The first stage of the Delta
booster and fairing were delivered to VAFB.
The GMA team successfully performed a bottle change on the GMA support equipment this week.

SIMULATION #6 UNDERWAY
Simulation #6 is in-progress. In this simulation we successfully spun up science
gyroscope #2 and we successfully performed the low temperature bakeout. Two key anomalies
occurred during the running of this simulation; one was a planned anomaly used to train
the staff for press conferences; the other was an unplanned GSE induced anomaly causing
the activation of a number of safe mode actions. The team responded well to these issues.
