WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 4 AUGUST 2000:
PAYLOAD HIGHLIGHT
The gyro replacement team has begun the operation of replacing flight gyroscope #4. Operations performed thus far include removal of the vacuum
can and initial inspection and documentation of the SIA (Science Instrument Assembly) region of the payload. The SIA region of the probe
was found to be qualitatively clean and the inspection of the instrument uncovered no unforeseen issues. The next major step is to remove gyroscope #4.
