WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 18 MAY 2001:
SUBATMOSPHERIC FILL OPERATION ON-TRACK
The payload test team is on-track for a successful completion of the subatmospheric fill operation on the flight dewar. The team has filled the
dewar at a bath temperature somewhat above the nominal launch requirement. The team is currently pumping on the liquid helium to reduce the
temperature. The plan is to repeat this fill and pump cycle one or two more times to reach the required fill level and bath temperature.

SUCCESSFUL GOWG AT VANDENBERG
The GP-B team successfully supported the Ground Operations Working Group meeting at Vandenberg Air Force Base on May 9 and 10. Vehicle operations in
VAFB B/1610, S/V control from the Stanford MOC, and launch timelines were discussed.
