WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 17 MAY 2002:

ALL FLIGHT ELECTRONICS BOXES INSTALLED ON SPACE VEHICLE
The forward GSS (Gyroscope Suspension System) boxes have been installed during the past week, thus completing the integration of the flight boxes on to the space vehicle. GSS software testing on the vehicle has been started and has been successful to date. Testing has been performed on the four flight SQUIDS. An anomaly associated with SQUID 1 is under investigation. The anomaly is likely to have no impact on service. The charge control test 15.1 was successfully completed. The analysis of the associated test results is in progress.

IONET SCAN COMPLETED
The IONET scan was successfully completed during the past week. The open items are in work.

OAB AND NASA SCHEDULE REVIEWS WERE SUCCESSFUL
An Operations Advisory Board meeting was successfully held at Stanford to review of the status and preparedness of GP-B mission operations. NASA headquarters personnel visited Stanford to review the GP-B schedule so as to understand proposed changes to the overall program plan.
