WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 2 MAY 2003:

SOFTWARE ACCEPTANCE REVIEW
GP-B successfully completed the software acceptance review. Participants at the review included personnel from MSFC, LM, and Stanford. Norm Bennett and other members of the software team gave a rigorous description of the flight computer system (8 separate computers), the flight and ground software and provided the associated documentation at the review. Action items from the review are in-work.

SPACE VEHICLE ACCEPTANCE REVIEW
GP-B successfully completed the space vehicle acceptance review. Participants at the review included personal from MSFC, LM, and Stanford. Bob Schultz (systems engineering) and Dorrene Ross (QA) gave excellent presentations and described the index of 20000 documents submitted for acceptance. Action items from the review are in-work.

SPACE VEHICLE THERMAL VACUUM TEST UNDERWAY
The test team has started the space vehicle thermal vacuum test. The test chamber has been evacuated and the cold wall has been flooded. The next significant test step is to power up the vehicle and begin the cold cycle testing. The software team has performed FQT runs on the vehicle, the functional A and B pre-thermal vacuum test run-for-the-record, and dry runs of the software (72 hour) test.
