WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 25 FEBRUARY 2000:
STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
The data analysis group has successfully performed an end-to-end
verification of an important part of the science mission data handling and
data reduction system. 12 hours of simulated data was run through the level
1 and level 2 data handling system. The test was performed in a "blind"
manner so that the correct result was not known by the subgroup providing
the calculated result. The team members involved in this work include J.
Berberian, M. Heifetz, M. Keiser, A. Kretchetov, J. Lei, and A. Silbergleit.

SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
The GP-B team successfully completed room-temperature thermal testing of
Probe C at Stanford University. The tests were designed to measure thermal
conductivity at each heat station with the Probe under vacuum in the
horizontal and vertical orientations. The data is being analyzed to
determine if more tests would be valuable.
