Testing Einstein's Universe

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 20 February 1998:

STANFORD HIGHLIGHT
Dale Gill and Larry Novak have completed the coating of all Science Mission and Science Mission backup gyroscope rotors. 15 fuzed quartz and 8 single crystal silicon rotors are available for the flight instrument. Each complete instrument requires 2 quartz and 2 silicon rotors.

SPACE VEHICLE HIGHLIGHT
The Relativity Mission spacecraft rigid aft propulsion plumbing weldment was tested at Helium Leak Test, Inc. in Northridge, CA. The plumbing was subjected to 100 psi pressure for three minutes and satisfied the helium leak requirement. The weldment is being shipped to building 205 where it will be cleaned and installed on the space vehicle.
