WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 8 FEBRUARY 2002:
PROGRAM MILESTONE CM 27 SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
The NASA end-to-end testing milestone was successfully completed last week. This test showed the end-to-end command path from the Mission Operations
Center (MOC) at Stanford to the Space Vehicle (SV) through the NASA interfaces as well as the telemetry path back. All commands rates and
modes (real-time and stored program commands) as well as all telemetry rates and modes were verified. The NASA portion of the link was completed
by NASA's Compatibility Test Van (CTV) which has equipment which emulates the Ground Network (GN), and also has a portable antenna which allows the
flow to pass through the TDRSS. The CTV measures the characteristics of the SV transponders and ensures that the configurations at the NASA
networks will support GP-B in flight. All data required for this configuration was successfully collected last week before the End-to-End testing at the MOC.
