Gravity Probe B

Testing Einstein's Universe

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING 7 FEBRUARY 2003:

DEWAR FILLED IN PREPARATION FOR SPIN BALANCE
The GP-B dewar was filled to over 95 % full during the past week. The star sensor was installed into the Integrated Test Facility to allow 7-10 days of continuous testing. During the next few days the plan is to move the space vehicle into the spin balance test facility.

An ACE/PDU anomaly review was held at Spectrum Astro. Representatives from Stanford, Lockheed Martin, MSFC, and Headquarters attended the review and agreed to an action plan. Implementation of this plan is now in progress.
