- 1978-1982 - Programmer/Analyst on the NASA lead Infra Red Astronomy Satellite
(IRAS) mission, writing operations software.
- 1983 - Operational support during the IRAS mission.
- 1984 - Analyst/Programmer on the UK Starlink project, writing enviroment
software.
- 1985-1988 - Software Operations Manager at the UK observatory complex
in the Canary Islands.
- 1988-1992 - Software Manager for the ground segment software for the
Long Wavelength Spectrometer flown on the ESA Infrared Space Observatory
(ISO) mission.
- 1992-1997 - Systems Engineer for the UK Cluster Data Centre for the ESA
Cluster mission.
- 1993-1997 - Project Manager for the Cluster Joint Science Operations
Centre (JSOC).
